How do I choose a great domain name?
There are a few rules of thumb for creating a good domain name:
- Keep it short.
- Make it easily connected to your business. For example, if you sell socks, try to have the word “socks” in your name, or the closest thing to your business name (if not you business name!).
- Avoid obscure characters like hyphens or numbers.
- Don’t use numbers, if you can help it.
-T ry to get a “.com” extension, because it’s the most common one there is. If that’s not available, use an extension that people will recognize, like “.net,” “.org,” or “.info”.
