After you complete your LLC application, our team reviews and submits it to the state. Since each state has its own process and timeline, approval times may vary.
Usually, most LLC applications are approved by the state within 2 to 7 business days after submission. In some cases, the state authorities may need extra time to review and evaluate your application, which can extend the decision-making process to several weeks beyond the usual timeframe.
Once your LLC is officially registered, our team conducts a final review and uploads the documents to your Tailor Brands dashboard.
Expedited Filing vs. State Processing Times
Expedited filing and state processing times are two different things, and it helps to know what each one covers.
Expedited filing refers to how quickly our team submits your LLC application to the state. If you purchased expedited filing, our team will review your application and submit it to the state within one business day, not counting Saturdays and Sundays.
State processing time is how long the state takes to review and approve your LLC after we submit it. This part is handled by the Secretary of State. Each state operates on its own schedule, and we have no control over how long the state takes to review, evaluate, and officially approve your documents.
So even with expedited filing, the total time to form your LLC still depends on the state. Expedited filing speeds up Tailor Brands' submission process. It does not speed up the state's processing and approval step.
If you paid for expedited filing and feel your application is taking a long time, this usually means our team already submitted your application quickly, and it is now waiting on the state to finish its own review.
