When forming your LLC, there may be times when the application cannot be processed due to missing information, name availability issues, or other details that need to be addressed before it can be filed with the Secretary of State.
Common LLC issues
- Name Availability: If the name you selected for your LLC is already taken or too similar to an existing business name in your state, the application cannot proceed. In this case, you may need to choose a different name or modify your original choice.
- Additional Information Needed: Sometimes, additional information is required to complete the application. This could be due to missing contact details, business structure clarifications, or other essential information needed by the state to process your filing.
- Other State-Specific Requirements: Each state may have specific rules or regulations that could cause delays or exceptions in the application process. For instance, some states require certain phrases or terms to be included or excluded in the LLC name, or they may require extra documentation.
