Can I Rename My Domain?
Once a domain is purchased, it cannot be renamed or edited. This is a global domain registration rule — not specific to Tailor Brands — and it applies to all domain providers.
That said, there are a few ways you can still move forward if you’d like to use a different domain name.
Option 1: Purchase a New Domain Under a New Business
If you’re okay with starting fresh, the simplest option is to create a new business in your Tailor Brands account and purchase the domain name you want there.
To do so, you can follow these steps:
Log into your Tailor Brands account.
Click “Account” in the top right corner.
Click "Switch Business."
Click “+Start a New Business”
Type in the name of the new business that will contain the domain name and Click “Continue”
A new business is now created.
Head to the "Domain" tab on the left handside of your dashboard and search for the new domain name you are looking to use.
Option 2: Keep All Services Under the Same Business
If you’ve already purchased services like your LLC, EIN, logo, or website under the current business and want to keep everything together, reach out to our support team, and we’ll check if it’s possible to:
Move your current domain to a different business to allow you to purchase a new domain in the same business as all your existing purchased services
